The association LANGAS Į ATEITĮ (LIA) is founded in 2002 by private companies to promote the use of internet and e-services in Lithuania and hereby stimulate the growth of the standard of living, as well as Lithuania’s competitiveness among European and other countries of the world.

The mission of LIA is to encourage the development of the information society, increase the accessibility of the internet and e-services in Lithuania by providing digital literacy and safe internet trainings, stimulating the growth of e-services countrywide. The target audiences are digitally and geographically excluded residents, socially vulnerable, young people and educators.

LIA has an extensive network of social partners across the country, including schools and more than 1,200 public internet access points in public libraries. As coordinator of the national Digital Jobs and Skills Coalition, LIA works with the ministries, universities, training providers, public institutions and private organisations involved in knowledge society development activities.

The main fields of activities and results achieved are as follows:

–           Access to the internet: LIA gave impulse to the establishment of public internet access points (PIAPs) in the country.

–           Digital skills face-to-face training and online learning: since 2003, over 400.000 people have learned PC, Internet and e-services in LIA courses free of charge.

–           Promotion of safe and responsible internet use: LIA is a partner of current Safer Internet Centre in Lithuania since 2012.

–           Partnerships: in addition to various national and international co-operation projects, LIA is actively involved in ALL DIGITAL network and Erasmus+ programmes.

Tech.mt

Tech.mt Foundation was established in 2019 as a Public-Private Partnership by the Government of Malta and the Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry.

Tech.mt is instrumental in taking the technology industry to the next level by encouraging participation in the transformation of the digital economy and aims to position Malta as a quality, creative, tech-savvy country, and promote Malta as a suitable set-up for foreign direct investment, whilst also promoting the local technological industries abroad.

EOS Foundation – Educating for an Open Society Romania is a private, non-profit organization established and registered in Romania in 1999 under the name of EOS Foundation – Educating for an Open Society Romania (EOS).

EOS Foundation’s mission is to use new technologies to help people and communities achieve their potential.

At present, EOS Romania develops key projects leading to the promotion of the Information and Knowledge Society across the wider community in Romania. EOS work extends beyond mainframe education projects, serving and supporting communities in Romania to bridge the digital divide and overcome their social, geographic, economic or cultural disadvantage by exploiting the potential of new technologies.

 

The Cyprus Computer Society (CCS) is a highly respected professional organization founded in 1984, dedicated to promoting and advancing the IT sector in Cyprus. With a focus on setting high standards among industry professionals, CCS recognizes the impact of ICT on employment, business, society and the quality of life of citizens.
CCS plays an important role in connecting academics with the professional sector, promoting digital literacy, professional skills, education, training and research in the industry. The organization expresses its views on behalf of its members to national authorities on strategic ICT issues and participates in European and other projects by developing multilateral partnerships with the academic community, governmental, public, private and non-governmental organizations.
With more than 1000 members, including professionals and ICT students, CCS has helped thousands of people, children, young people, parents, unemployed, employers and employees benefit from actions taken towards digital development. The Society undertakes various activities, events and competitions for the benefit of professionals, teachers, students, pupils, and friends of ICT in Cyprus.
